Dr. Liu will take a thorough history of your symptoms and examine your rash carefully. Most of the time, a diagnosis can be made based on the history and examination, after which a treatment plan will be discussed. If you require prescription medications to treat your rash, you have the option of picking them up on-site, as we carry most common dermatologic medications. Or, you could choose to have the prescriptions sent to your preferred pharmacy.
For some types of rashes, further workup is needed to arrive at a diagnosis. This may include a skin biopsy, blood tests, or other diagnostic testing. If any additional testing is required, it will be discussed at the time of your appointment, and any tests that can be performed in the office will be done same-day.
